Diana Kambalame
Dit is Diana Kambalame. Diana’s moeder suffered from tuberculose en HIV. Ze is thuis te vroeg bevallen. Ze stierf toen Diana 1 year old. Diana werd op hetzelfde moment opgenomen in het ziekenhuis met tuberculose, ze herstelde en ging bij haar tante wonen, but her aunt was also suffering from tuberculosis and HIV. The aunt died when Diana was 1,5 year old. Vervolgens werd Diana naar haar oma gebracht. The grandmother had many orphans to care for and Diana could not manage to also care for Diana . By March 2014 Diana was brought in very severe condition to the hospital. Diana was at that moment almost 2 years old , 66 cm lang en slechts 6 kilo. She was re-admitted with tuberculosis, severe malaria, severe anemia, severe pneumonia and severe malnutrition. De oma kon niet in het ziekenhuis blijven omdat ze voor de andere kinderen thuis moest zorgen. Ze besloot Diana mee terug naar het dorp te nemen om haar daar te laten sterven. Het lukte ons haar ervan te overtuigen Diana naar het Afriana huis te brengen. Diana recovered. She needs both mentally as physically much attention, maar het gaat goed met haar. Ze woont in het Afriana huis en is een vrolijke 3 jarige peuter.
