Kate en Tiwonge

Last week, my nanny brought two girls to my house. She saw them on the streets begging for food for over a week now and found out that they were all alone. She gave them regularly eat what, but soon found out that they needed more help.

Kate is a beautiful thirteen-year old girl. Her mother died when she was only 5 year old, Then she was raised by her grandmother. Because her grandmother was getting older, Katie was two years ago to live with her aunt. The aunt has three children. She changed jobs frequently and who regularly moved to another village, every time she leaves behind Katie. Katie wait until someone gives her money and then her aunt chase.

Tiwonge is een slim, nice girl who is thirteen years old. Her parents were too poor to care for her, therefore her uncle 5 years ago, brought from the village to live with him. A lack of money, she has not seen her family since 2011.

Kate's aunt is married to Uncle Tiwonges. The aunt is Tiwonge last month changed jobs and left for the city. Kate has left them. The uncle of Tiwonge been arrested several weeks ago and has left Tiwonge.
To see these two special young girls fighting for their lives, brings tears to my eyes. Totally dependent on yourself while you 13 years are. Depending on other people for food, soap, clothing, basically everything. Nobody you protected, no one who cares for you. School is something they can only dream of.

Proverbs 31:8,9 reading:
Speak for those who can not speak for themselves, for the rights of the needy. Speak and judge righteously; Protect the rights of the poor and needy.

I was convinced to help these girls. We found another uncle who decided the girls to take temporary home. He dinkt much and that is why we are as soon as possible to find another residence for the girls. During the day the girls at my house. They eat two times a day at my house and I give them food to take for a third time.
I have ensured that Tiwonge two weeks her family visiting. After we have seen the situation in her village, we will decide whether they will live in the house Africare or she goes back to her parents in the village.
For Kate, we try to reach her aunt to see if she wants to take care of Kate and which is able to send her to school. If not I will both girls in the house Africare let live.

Love,
Nicole
