Today is Easter. I got up at 5am and it was quiet in the house, everyone is still asleep. I am reminded of a picture I posted on Facebook a year ago. Diana lived right at me; she was very ill, stunted and malnourished. I had no idea why God wanted me to take care of her. Now a year later, her recovery is incredible, both mentally and physically is so much better. I often think back to all those nights I sat by her, while hourly checked her temperature. Most nights she was repeatedly screaming and crying awake. Today she is a happy and almost normal child. My prayer for Diana is to be allowed to grow up in a stable and loving environment, to learn about the love God has for her.

Two weeks ago, Katie and Tiwonge Africare in the house to live. They are both years, physically abused and had an urge need safe home. My first priority Tiwonge was to let her visit her family.

A few days ago she returned from her family visit, we found out that they already their 7 years had not seen. Tiwonge was sent to her uncle when she was only 5 year old. Her family is very poor, but living with her uncle was not much better. Tiwonge is still everything she has seen in recent days to process, when she arrived in the village she recognized her parents and sisters no longer. They now know that they have a little brother 9 months old.

My prayer for Tiwonge is that they can build a good relationship with her family again, that they may know that God helps her while she learns new things every day and grows, that she may receive healing for the pain she has suffered.

Both Katie and Tiwonge begin next week with English lessons. I found a teacher who them 3 once a week will teach. Hopefully, their English is better soon so that it is easier to communicate.
Fenalli (left the family photo) A nanny who lives with me. She got pregnant when she 15 year old. She had to quit high school and went back to her native village. She married the father of her child, but they never lived together. In mei 2012 she gave birth to a girl named Tryness. In October last year Fenalli for me to come to work. She goes to the secondary night school and is a great help in the Africare house.

Love,
Nicole
