Family life

People often ask me why I do volunteer work in Malawi. Why did I spend all my time, energy and money in caring for and helping vulnerable children in Malawi? The answer is simple; I feel that God wants me to do this work.[/av_one_third]

The work is anything but easy. I need to divide my attention among many different children and moments of calm are very rare. But love, the fun and energy that I get back is unlimited. I have no regret that I have so changed my life, but there are certainly things I miss such cozy little chat with friends, eating out, a night at the movies. It is almost 3 years since I've been in the Netherlands and I would really like to visit, but Malawi is my home now.

Mwayi is after an uptake of nearly 7 weeks finally discharged from hospital. I am very happy that we're all back home and that we again have a 'normal' family life. It goes very well with Mwayi, he comes and grows well. After a few days in my house, the grandmother decided to take him back home. My heart was filled with joy when I heard this because I know that no one will be better for him worry. I will continue to support the grandmother Mwayi financially so that all basic needs will be.

And Opportunity is weg, live again six girls in my house. Now ending the school year we are busy making new plans for the coming year. Katie has finished primary school, but unfortunately has its standard 8 Exams never met. Lately she has not gone to school because her aunt did not want to pay school fees. Since she lives with me, They follow three times weekly English lessons. She really wants to go to high school, so I decided I would let her go to an interview for a school in Lilongwe. That was not an easy decision because I have seen how it has grown and has grown now she lives here, but I want them to be independent and the only way to achieve that is through good education. Her admission interview will take place in early August. A good high school costs a lot of money in Malawi, I'm still looking for a sponsor for her. If you know someone who wants and can pay her school fees, let me know please!

Tiwonge going next month default 6 doing exams at the local elementary school. She also follows English lessons and we hope they will be admitted at Ebenezer so that the school can continue at a higher level.
Tryness and Diana in May have both celebrated their third birthday so they will go to the primary school in September. They are both admitted to Ebenezer.
Maria is only three so in November which still must wait a year before they can go to primary school. She will go to the nursery school next year for another year.

Love,
Nicole
